Dr. Fox's Professional Qualifications
Professional EducationDr. Fox received his B.A. degree in 1976 from Clark University, in Massachusetts, and a D.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine in 1980. He received awards in dental school for outstanding achievement in endodontics and for being the best in his class in all phases of clinical dentistry. This was followed by a year of advanced training in hospital dentistry and general practice, as a resident at the world famous Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. (There only 879 hospital residency positions like this available each year in the United States, and more than fifteen dentists apply for each of these coveted slots). He returned to the University of Pennsylvania in 1981, where he was awarded a fellowship for completion of combined post-doctoral specialty training in Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis (Fixed Prosthodontics). In addition to his formal training, he has continued his education by completing over 2,800 hours of accredited continuing education courses around the country. Teaching ExperienceDr. Fox was active in dental education for over twenty years at the University of Illinois, the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine, Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, and Temple University's School of Dentistry. He has instructed dental students, taught dental medicine to hospital general practice dental residents, trained dentists to become specialists in Periodontics and Periodontal Prosthesis, and conducts continuing education courses for dentists.
